한국교원대학교 영어교육과

영어교육과에서는 실용적인 영어 사용 능력을 배양하여 국제어로서의 영어를 효과적으로 사용할 수 있는 영어교사 양성을 목표로 하고 있다. 이를 위해 영어로 듣기, 말하기, 읽기, 쓰기 기능을 충실히 연마할 수 있는 다양한 영어 실습 과목을 제공하고 있다. 또한 모든 학생이 이론적 지식의 습득을 기반으로 한 전문화 된 영어 교수 능력을 갖출 수 있도록 영어학, 영어교육학, 영미문학 등 영어 관련 학문을 제공한다. 이에 따라 학생들은 영어교사로서의 자질과 능력을 충분히 갖추고 일선 교육 현장에서 창의적인 교사로 활동하기 위하여 성실히 매진하고 있다. 1989년도에 첫 졸업생을 배출한 이래 수많은 졸업생을 배출하였고, 졸업생의 대부분이 중등학교 교사로 재직 중이다.

The department of English Education at Korea National University of Education aims to develop qualified English teachers who are competent in English as an international language. The department provides various language courses to equip students with practical English language skills in the four areas of English listening, speaking, reading, and writing; in addition, courses in the field of English linguistics, English education, and English literature are also provided to help students develop professional teaching abilities based on sound theoretical knowledge. Our students continuously work hard to become excellent and creative English teachers in the classroom. Since opening the program in 1989, the department has produced numerous graduates who primarily teach in secondary level schools throughout the nation.
